TYLER T.TOBIN, GSEC/GIAC
Tyler is both a Principal and a Director of Information Risk Management at Fortner, Bayens, Levkulich & Garrison, P.C. He has eleven years of experience providing technical and regulatory consulting services to a number of different organizations in the Rocky Mountain region.
For the past four years his primary focus and responsibilities has been examining the information technology departments of community bank clients. Services provided include:
- Performed IT Examinations in accordance with relevant federal and state regulatory guidelines
- Performed both Internal and External Vulnerability Studies and Risk Assessments in accordance with Industry Best Practices.
- Perform social engineering assessments.
- Review and testing of policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Deploys and executes technical control testing using both commercial and open source tool kits.
- Centralized technical testing and audit oversight for financial clients.
- Performs technical evaluations for acquisitions of financial organizations and holding companies.
- Evaluates common banking software applications and databases for inconsistencies and anomalies that may affect the GL.
- Develops technical documentation as it relates to compliance with federal and state examinations.
Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Tyler was a co-developer and tester of the World famous hacking tool, pwdump3 and pwdump’e’ at Polivec /e-Comm. In addition, Tyler was a Senior Security Analyst at State Farm Insurance Company. Tyler is a decorated Veteran of the U.S. Army.
